When reporting a problem, it helps to include:

• Your device model and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15, iOS 19)
• The app version (shown in Settings)
• What you were doing when the problem occurred

Common questions

• Does hold. connect to my bank? No, and that's by design. You log purchases yourself in seconds, or scan the receipt and let AI do it. What you spend stays between you and your phone.
• Will hold. be free? Yes. Logging transactions and adding accounts are not capped on the free plan. Everyone gets one monthly budget, one trip or project budget, and one active goal, along with spending by category and multi-currency support. Archived budgets and goals do not count, so finishing one frees its slot. Premium adds more trip and project budgets, more goals, and the AI features. The monthly budget stays one per person on every plan, Premium included, because a second one would compete with the first over the same spending.
• When will hold. launch? We're putting the finishing touches on the app. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's available on the App Store and Google Play.
• How does the free trial work? If the plan you pick includes a free trial, the paywall shows how long it lasts and the date you would first be charged, taken from the App Store or Google Play at the moment you look. We send a reminder two days before it ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
• Will I lose my data if I cancel Premium? No. You keep access to all your data and all free features.
• Is there a web version? hold. is designed for your phone, where your spending happens. It will be available for iOS and Android.
• Is my financial data safe? Your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely. We never sell it. See our privacy policy for the full picture.
